Plot of Phineas and Ferb
The show follows the adventures of stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who live in the town of Danville, somewhere in the Tri-State area. Their older sister, Candace Flynn, is obsessed with two things throughout the show. One is "busting" Phineas and Ferb's schemes and ideas, usually calling their mother to report the boys' activities, but is never successful in "busting" her brothers. Her second obsession is a boy named Jeremy who she tries to impress constantly but is often times embarrassed in front of him Meanwhile, the boys' pet platypus, Perry, acts as a secret agent for an all-animal government organization called the "O.W.C.A." (Organization Without a Cool Acronym, though in one episode a security camera stated that it was SSSN, Super Secret Spy Network), fighting Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. On every opening Candace will appear and break the fourth wall by saying "Mom! Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!" Much of the series' humor relies on running gags used in every episode with slight variation.

Phineas and Ferb is an American animated television comedy series. Originally broadcast as a preview on August 17, 2007 on Disney Channel, the series follows Phineas Flynn and his English stepbrother Ferb Fletcher on summer vacation. Each day the boys embark on some grand new project, which annoys their controlling sister, Candace, who tries to bust them.

Linda Flynn-Fletcher (voiced by Caroline Rhea) is the mother of Phineas and Candace and stepmother to Ferb. Unaware of the large-scale projects that Phineas and Ferb create on a daily basis, Candace often drags her away from other interests in an attempt to get the boys in trouble. Each creation is somehow destroyed or eliminated moments before "Mom" arrives leaving Candace dumbfounded and Linda once more reluctant to believe Candace the next time. She was also a one-hit wonder known as "Lindana" with her song, "I'm Lindana and I Wanna Have Fun" which is used as elevator music throughout the series. She is based on Dan Povenmire's sister, also named Linda.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro (voiced by Alyson Stoner) is a Jewish Mexican girl and a protagonist of the show. She is one of the brothers' best friends and has an obvious crush on Phineas Flynn of which he is unaware, though he has shown he cares for her from time to time.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (voiced by Dan Povenmire) is a mad scientist who is the secondary antagonist of the series, appearing in all but one episode's B-Plots thus far. He is the father to teenage Vanessa Doofenshmirtz and is the head of his own company, Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. Depending on the episode, Dr. Doofenshmirtz's main goal is to either destroy or rule the Tri-State Area which was suggested to him as a starting point before trying to take over the world. Routinely bumbling, incompetent, and forgetful, Doofenshmirtz's plans–always involving various gadgets and inventions–have been thwarted by Perry the Platypus. After most defeats, he shouts his catchphrase, "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!" His first invention as a child was simply called "Inator" which led to his modern contraptions usually ending with the suffix of the same name.

Perry the Platypus, also known as Agent P or simply Perry, is an anthropomorphic platypus from the animated television series Phineas and Ferb. Perry is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker and created by the series' co-founders, Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh. He first appeared along with the majority of the main cast in the pilot episode "Rollercoaster." Perry is featured as the star of the B-Plot for every episode of the series, alongside his arch-nemesis Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

Candace Flynn, (voiced by Ashley Tisdale) is Phineas' fifteen-year-old older sister, Ferb's stepsister, and the series' main antagonist. She first appeared in the pilot episode along with the other main characters who star in the A-Plot.

Ferb Fletcher (voiced by Thomas Sangster) is Phineas' intelligent but laconic stepbrother from England and created by Phineas and Ferb co-founders Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh. He first appeared in the show's pilot episode, "Rollercoaster." Ferb is the deuteragonist of the series alongside Phineas.

Phineas Flynn (voiced by Vincent Martella) is one of the protagonists of the series. Like other characters, his age is not mentioned. Phineas, along with his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, star in the A-Plot of every episode. The series concerns Phineas' attempts to avoid boredom by finding something new to do every day of the summer vacation. He does this with his less-talkative stepbrother Ferb, and often with many other neighborhood children. He is known to be very selfless and energetic.
